Maggie Grace and Maggie Gyllenhaal

Maggie Grace is an American actress born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her most well-known roles are Shannon Rutherford, a character from ABC's Lost series, and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. After her parents divorced, she moved with her mom to Los Angeles. Although she was struggling financially in 2001, her debut came in the role of Rachel's Room's primary character. The role she played in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder, in the television film Murder In Greenwich in 2002 earned her a nomination for a Young Artist Award. In 2004, Grace was selected to portray Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost where she acted as a principal cast member for the first two seasons winning an Screen Actors Guild Award shared by the entire cast. Grace decided to concentrate on film following her role as Tom Welling's character, The Fog, in 2005. She appeared in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) as well as opposite Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). The actress also appeared in Alice as Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is an updated adaptation that Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace reprised the role of Shannon in two more episodes of Lost including the series finale. She also appeared in the sixth episode of Californication. The actress portrays Faith as a female groupie as well as a model for the stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. Part of the Gyllenhaal family she is the daughter of film makers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs as well as the elder sibling of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. In her teens her career began as a small part-time actress for her father and appeared in Donnie Darko with her twin brother. She then appeared on Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated to win an Golden Globe Award in both the romantic comedy Sherrybaby (2005) and in the love story Secretary (2002). The two movies were critically acclaimed. Following a string of commercially successful movies in 2006 including World Trade Center she received greater recognition for her performance as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). For her performance as an unmarried mother, in Crazy Heart (2009) she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. In the following years, she starred in comedies as well as dramatic movies: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012. Her other parts include acting as a Secret Service agent of the Secret Service in White House Down 2013. She also appeared as a vocalist in Frank 2014, and as a singer in The Kindergarten Teacher 2018, in which she plays the lead role. Gyllenhaal was first introduced as a writer and director in 2021 with her psychological drama The Lost Daughter. For this film she was awarded with the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and received nominations for the Academy Award.
