Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a clan of musicians. As a child, she was exposed to a lot of classical music, as well traditional boleros. In addition, she was a fan of classic romantic ballads, as well as traditional ranchero. Ana is enthusiastic about operas and tangos. Also, she loves performing in dramatic shows. She began singing and learning songs with her mother then began more intense singing training when she was 16 with renowned Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, and then the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. While a young student and professional, she sang with various chamber groups as well as opera choruses in Guadalajara and Mexico City. Following her move back to California in United States in 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current place in southern California. The singer currently sings traditional Latin American songs at private performances as a soloist. As a teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in many projects in the community because of her love as well as a love of music. Ana has also been a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that through the sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, to instill a passion, particularly among the younger generation in keeping the music in the present.
